We are looking for volunteers to teach Salmon Watch sessions to local 5th & 6th graders this Fall. Please see the attached flyer for details. If you have any questions, please contact:
Angela Clegg, Watershed Education Coordinator, email@example.com
Angela Clegg, Watershed Education Coordinator for the SSWC, was recently elected onto the Board of Directors, Zone 3 of the Sweet Home School District.
We will be holding a regular Board meeting at the Lebanon Library from 3:00-5:00.
Agendas will be handed out at the meeting.
The South Santiam Youth Watershed Council in partnership with Sweet Home Parks and Recreation Dept. will be sprucing up Ames Creek (Sankey Park) on April 11th from 9:00am until 1:00pm. Please come support Sweet Home’s Youth with their Restoration project.
Individuals or groups who want to help remove invasive species to improve Sweet Home’s parks and natural areas are encouraged to sign up for this project in advance.
Some tools and gloves will be provided. However, volunteers are encouraged to bring pruners, rakes, and hand saws. Volunteers should wear heavy duty gloves, shoes, and clothes that can get dirty, and bring water to drink.
To register, call Sweet Home Parks and Recreation, 541-367-8113, or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Drop-ins are welcome, but advanced sign-ups help staff plan appropriately.
We hope to see lots of volunteers and community support this Saturday!
We are pleased to announce that Eric Andersen, former Regional Monitoring Coordinator, will be the new Council Coordinator. Congratulations to Eric.
